What is Live Painting?

Live painting is a form of “plein air” (outdoor) painting that is painted live in order to capture what is right in front of the artist then and there. A professional artist brings their own supplies and canvas to paint your wedding scene in real time.

If you are in the midst of planning your wedding, you know that photo booths are well on their way out in the world of weddings. But what came before the camera? A painter. Capturing your wedding in real time is an elegant, and timeless way to remember your beautiful day in the form of art, to hold as an heirloom for your future generations, to display in your home, and to treasure for years.

Why book a Live painting for your special day?

  • A live wedding painting adds a unique element to your ceremony or reception that is unlike any others you have seen.

  • Your wedding day is sure to move quickly in a blur, and while your photographer will capture every beauty, a live wedding painting will capture the elegance of your vows through artistic eyes.

  • A fine art print of your original wedding portrait will serve as a beautiful gift for your in-laws and parents!

  • Have a chance to see your beautiful wedding featured on Hannah’s social media platforms!

  • The notion of a large canvas and (me) the artist sat in the background of your beautiful ceremony will bring such an elegant and artsy element to your wedding, and a fabulous conversation piece throughout!

  • An amazing investment in your growing art collection that will serve as not only a beautiful interior decor, but a conversation piece and a memory for you to relive forever.

Is my artistic style right for your wedding?

As seen in my portfolio of pets and landscapes, I am an artist very focused on realism, with often, a whimsical twist (especially when it comes to capturing the beautiful venue of a wedding). I find the most important focal points when painting a live painting, or from a photo, to be the main subject, that in which I include in the most detail. To accent that beautifully, I focus on making a beautiful correlating background, slightly blurred with the colors to make it come together seamlessly.

I am very focused on what style my client is after. Before I begin any piece, I like to know the interior decor preferences, color schemes, and whatever other style hints my client is willing to share. That in turn helps me translate their piece to one that is right in their style preference wheelhouse. Whether it be minimalistic, sophisticated with dark/woody colors, coastal and airy, etc. I will be sure your piece speaks to you and will make the perfect accent piece in your home.
